History

Beginnings

In December 1996, a group of enthusiasts and lovers of rugby, led by Bosko Strugar, founded RC Pobednik. Start was not easy. There were no pitches, club house, material resources that would follow the founder of a great desire that the club entered into the annals of Serbian rugby. However, perseverance, great love, will and tireless training have brought results quickly. All members helped develop the club, and the highest appreciation, Rugby Club Pobednik owed to players who have invested in him all the time, effort, hope, and money. In the most difficult times, тhe players were the ones who bought the equipment, balls, and funded travel so the Club could survive.

Domestic competitions

In the 1997/1998 season RC Pobednik actively involved in the competition that year and reached the playoffs of Rugby Championship of SR Yugoslavia. The first game ended with the triumph, after victory over the already well-known club KBRK.
